Friends, I’ve been keeping a little secret for the past few months! I’m excited to finally spill the beans and tell you that I have a pattern featured in the latest issue of The Sewing Box Magazine! Meet the Daylight Breaking shawl!

Daylight Breaking is essentially the sequel to my Daylight Fading pattern. Daylight Breaking is slightly smaller in size (62 inches long), takes only 2 skeins of fingering weight yarn, features shorter sections, and improved increases and edge stitches.

I used my dear friend Ali from Explorer Knits and Fibers‘ beautiful hand dyed yarn for this project! I used her Denali Sock base (80% SWM/20% Nylon): 290 yds/265 m (1 skein) of Color A (Sweater Weather), 315 yds/288 m (1 skein) of Color B (Lavender Forever).

You can find the full Daylight Breaking pattern in issue 8 of The Sewing Box Magazine, or in the complete bundle which includes every issue and over 100 knit, crochet, macrame and sewing patterns! If you have the patience to wait about a month, I’ll be sharing the full pattern for free here on the blog!
