Oh hey, who’s ready for my first free pattern of the new year? Meet the Crossroads Wrap!

The Crossroads Wrap uses 4 skeins of Lion Brand Yarn’s new yarn line in collaboration with Two of Wands – Hue + Me! If you haven’t tried this yarn yet, you should rectify that immediately. It’s a bulky weight, a pleasure to work with, and most importantly it comes in the most beautiful shades! All of the colors work so well together, so really you can’t go wrong when choosing colors for your Crossroads Wrap.

Lion Brand has put together a handy little kit for the Crossroads Wrap which includes all the yarn you’ll need plus a digital PDF of the pattern! You can find the kit in the link below. You can also purchase the ad-free printable PDF if you like, or continue scrolling for the free pattern.

The Crossroads Wrap is worked flat, mostly in color blocks, and features surface crochet for the vertical stripes which are added onto the finished piece. Yes, I said crochet – but don’t be scared! You do not need to know how to crochet to make this pattern. I can crochet a decent chain, and that’s about it, so you can handle this.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Yarn
4 x skeins Lion Brand Hue + Me 80% acrylic 20% wool 125 g, 137 yds/125 m
Juniper (C1) – 124 yds/114 m

Bellini (C3) – 75 yds/69 m
Sea Glass (C4) – 114 yds/105 m

Needles
US 11/8 mm 32 in/80 cm circular needle
(or size needed to obtain gauge)

10.5 sts and 12.5 rows = 4 in/10 cm in Stockinette st, blocked

*Please take time to check your gauge to ensure you’ll have enough yarn for this project. We’ll use almost all of two of the colors, so an accurate gauge is essential.

Let’s get started!

Begin colorwork chart or follow the written directions below. The repeat, outlined in red, is worked 6 times per row. Rows 1-30 are worked a total of 5 times.
